Leo Portales

Hello! I am Léo Portales, PHD student under the supervision of Edouard Pauwels and Elsa Cazelles in Optimal Transport and Optimization.

After a Masters degree in Fundamental Mathematics with special focus on probability and analysis I joined my supervisors in an internship to study the algorithmic properties of Lloyd’s method for measure quantization. This study carried on as a PHD in fall 2023 which is still runing to this day.

I currently work on the analytical and statistical properties of measures quantization, in particular via Lloyd’s algorithm. I am affiliated to Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse (IRIT), Toulouse School of Economics and I work at INP ENSEEIHT.
